Knowing your own carbon footprint is becoming increasingly important for manufacturing companies in the current debate on the continuation of climate policy.
Because of this, we have already been producing a comprehensive sustainability report about our company since 2021.
As part of the automotive supply chain, we specialize in lamination technologies with a particular focus on the flame lamination process. This technique involves melting foam with an open gas flame and optionally applying a nonwoven or knitted textile to a backing layer.
With growing requirements for energy-intensive processes regarding energy efficiency and ecological impact, we collaborated with the University of applied sciences Hof to examine the carbon footprint of our production. We evaluated not only the existing process for flame lamination but also examined alternative processes, including engraving rollers and flatbed presses.
